The drain taps on AutoTrail and many other vans have a part within the outlet that restricts the flow and can get blocked up. It’s removable and doing so improves the flow hugely.
The function of the part is probably to stop mice from entering. So if you leave the tap open (e.g. during winter with the system is drained down) then replace the part for that time.
This tool makes it easy to remove the part. To use, just push into the bottom of the tap, rotate 90° to grab hold of the restrictor, then keep twisting and gently pull till it comes out. Works on both fresh and waste drain taps.
